2024 College Rankings: Montclair’s Graduate Programs Ranked Among Nation’s Best

U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings have placed Montclair State University’s graduate programs among the top in the nation once again, showcasing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.

Among the standout performances in the rankings were Montclair’s Education, Public Health, and Part-Time MBA programs. The University’s graduate education specializations in Elementary Teacher Education and Curriculum and Instruction achieved impressive rankings, tying for No. 22 and No. 24 in the nation, respectively. Additionally, the Master of Public Health program climbed 10 spots to No. 140 overall, securing the second position in New Jersey in only its second year in the rankings. The overall graduate programs in Education at Montclair were ranked No. 107, tied for second place in New Jersey. Moreover, the Part-Time MBA program at Montclair claimed the No. 207 spot, marking a one-place improvement from the previous year.

Montclair State University boasts a wide array of graduate offerings, with 115 master’s and eight doctoral programs spread across 13 colleges and schools. Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Junius Gonzales expressed pride in the university’s graduate programs, stating, “Our graduate programs are designed to prepare professionals to advance in their chosen careers by equipping them with the skills needed both now and in the future.” Gonzales further emphasized that these rankings reaffirm Montclair’s position as a comprehensive research university on the rise.
