Montclair State University has introduced four new online programs for students aiming to pursue bachelor’s or master’s degrees. These programs, set to begin in the fall of 2025, offer flexibility by allowing students to manage their coursework around personal schedules while interacting with faculty and peers.

The newly launched online programs include:

1. An Online Master’s in Strategic Communication and Media. This program is mostly asynchronous but includes an optional hybrid Industry Bootcamp. It aims to equip students for digital age communication and media roles by enhancing skills in social media strategy, data analytics, content creation, audience analysis, and crisis communication.

2. An Online Bachelor’s in Family Science and Human Development. Recognized as a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) program, it provides an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the factors affecting individuals, families, and communities. Graduates will be ready for roles in human services, mental health, non-profits, community advocacy, and research.

3. An Online Bachelor’s in Economics through the AACSB-accredited Feliciano School of Business. This program prepares students for the global marketplace by building expertise applicable to business, finance, law, research, or policy-making.

4. An Online Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management—the only one of its kind in New Jersey—offering a curriculum that integrates advanced supply chain strategies and sustainable practices to prepare students for roles such as Supply Chain Analyst or Logistics Manager.

Montclair State University offers over 30 online degree and certificate programs across various fields like Business Administration, Accounting, Child Advocacy and Policy, Educational Leadership, Applied Information Technology, Nursing, Psychology, Social Research and Data Analysis, and Social Work.

Students enrolled in these online programs benefit from comprehensive support services including advising and career resources while maintaining the flexibility needed to balance education with work or other commitments outside the classroom.
