On Wednesday, April 23, former Eastside High School standout Owen Willard’s current college team, the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons, lost 8-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The game took place at Frank Eck Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Fighting Irish this season.

The Mastodons’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. at Mastodon Field against Youngstown State Penguins.
